SBM Holdings Ltd (SBMH), the ultimate Holding company of SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd (SBMBM or the Bank), wishes to inform its shareholders and the public in general that Mr Premchand Mungar has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SBMBM effective 22 November 2023.

This nomination adds to the composition of the executive team at the helm of the Board and Management of SBMBM.

Mr Premchand Mungar is a seasoned banker, with over 35 years’ experience at managerial and executive levels, both in Mauritius and Africa, and has also served on various boards in Mauritius. He was formerly the CEO of MauBank Ltd.

He will continue the transformation work of the Bank initiated over the past few years.
